Too good to be true?

Too good to be true?

Buying a car online can save you time and money, but it’s important to be aware of the dangers. If a car seems too good to be true, then it probably is.

A small number of customers have reported seeing cars advertised on fish4cars at much lower prices than average for the make and model. If you see an advert that looks suspicious please report it to Customer Services.

We have been made aware of some cases where the seller uses a false phone number and is only contactable by email. In response to an enquiry by email the customer has then received an email asking for money to be sent, sometimes claiming that the car is in Europe and that the money is needed to ship paperwork to the UK.

If you receive an email from a seller asking for your bank details or requesting money to be sent to cover shipping costs, please send a copy of the email to our Customer Services team at customerservices@fish4.co.uk.
